Hidden journaling reads:
We moved into the new house with Mom and Dad just after Christmas 1997. The next year we realized that we had two Christmas trees and ornaments and lights for both. I put both trees up that year and decided I wasn't going to do that again, it was just way too much work. So on Boxing Day that year we found a 9 foot Christmas tree on sale and bought it. All the lights and the ornaments from both trees fit on the one new tree. It it the perfect tree for our new blended family.
